Training/Orientation of Teachers

 

(a) Workshop on Techniques of Paper Setting and Evaluation:

 

Since its inception in the year 1992, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur organized two 5-Day Workshops on “Techniques of Paper Setting and Evaluation” in collaboration with the NCERT, New Delhi in 1995 (at  D.M. College, Imphal ) and in 2003 (at State Guest House, Imphal) and the Design of Question Paper and Model Question Papers developed for the subjects under the curriculum and syllabus for classes XI and XII of the Council were using in the conduct of its Class XI and Higher Secondary Examinations. In 2006, another workshop on the above topic was organized in two phases with local Resource Persons. With the implementation of NCF, 2005 of the NCERT, New Delhi in the year 2008, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur organized another workshop on “ Techniques of Paper Setting and Evaluation” in 3(three) phases in the year, 2009 and developed the latest Design of Question Paper and Model Question Papers (2010) in conformity with the new revised Syllabus and the same is using in the above mentioned two examinations of the Council.

The Council is looking forward to conduct such workshop/orientation programmes in the near future.

(b) Orientation of Principals

For proper implementation of the CCE and grading system in school level, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur organized 1-Day Orientation Programme on Implementation of CCE for the Head of Institution on the 23rd, 24th and 25th June, 2011 covering all the heads of institutions/their representatives having +2 courses under the Council.

(c) Orientation of Teachers

The Council also organized 1-Day Orientation Programme on C.C.E(district-wise) in collaboration with the All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) in 9(nine) different phases participated by approximately 1500 (one thousand five hundred) teachers of Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges having +2 courses covering all the districts of Manipur in the month of September and October, 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Future Vision

The Council has to take-up many more reforms in bringing its +2 courses in the state upto the standard of national and international levels. Some areas such as use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in school education is still lacking. We are looking forward to go hand in hand with all the stake holders of school education in India and facilitate our children to achieve their best performance at +2 level which is the terminal point for their future career and lifelong professionalism.
